The children had a challenge to create a Bell Beaker-style pot by using a combination of pinch, coil, and pattern techniques.
The children used their sketchbooks to see their designs for their pot and referred to their notes and prior explorations to guide their ideas and ensure they incorporate authentic Bell Beaker-style elements.
Once the basic form was finished, they decorated their pots in the Bell Beaker style. We used a variety of objects and natural materials for imprinting patterns, referring back to their sketchbook drawings for inspiration and accuracy.
