Map Making, Carrot Peeling And Football!

Happy Birthday Mrs Sexton, this week we helped Mrs Sexton to celebrate her special day and enjoyed some caterpillar cake.

We have been busy thinking about how we can make maps, we have drawn maps of journeys we make and of the journeys characters in stories make.

We have also applied out school rules of safety to carrot peeling.  This activity is good for focus, fine motor skills, resilience and helps us to develop our life skills.  It also helps us learn to respect knives.  We felt so proud of ourselves for learning such a grown up skill.  Perhaps is we go on a picnic in the summer we can help to make carrot sticks.

On Friday we were consumed with football fever, we learnt about the sport, sang along to Three Lions, painted flags to take home and decorate our houses with and designed our own medals, footballs, trophies and kits.  We are wishing the England men a triumphant win!
