We have had a short but busy week with lots more learning about winter. We have worked hard on creating content for a display which will go up in the new year, so if you are wondering where our art has disappeared to hopefully you will see it around the school in January.
We have moved into Phase Three phonics, Mrs Cruise is so proud of us, especially our beautiful blending and amazing recall of the tricky words. We are now trying to write short sentences.
In maths we have focused on learning the part part whole concept using numbers up to five. We use the phrase ‘Part of me is ___. Part of me is ___. The whole of me is ___.’ There is a great Numberblocks episode which focus on this, you can find it on iPlayer in Season One.
Our PE this term is focussed on rolling, we had a great time playing lots of different games this week. Maybe we could go bowling during the long weekend to work on our skills!
We were visited by our new teacher and met our new teaching assistant this week, they are both fun and very kind, we are looking forward to them joining Wrens soon.
