Welcome to Kestrels Class!
Mrs Allen and I hope that your children have enjoyed their start to the year. It has been lovely to get to know the class who have engaged well with all of our exciting, new learning.
The children are discovering their journalistic skills by beginning to write a news-style report which recounts the story of ‘The True Story of the Three Little Pigs’. In math, we have started by revisiting and developing our understanding of place value, and, in science, we have begun to look at the diet of humans. Our driver topic for the foundation subjects is ‘Through the Ages’ where the children are learning about the pre-history periods from the Stone Age to the Iron Age.
