Exploring pneumatic systems!

So far this term, Owls have had great fun creating and experimenting with different pneumatic systems, using balloons, syringes and tubes.

This week, we built an air pressure powered device that could lift an object off the table. We used the instructions from a YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3jDcj6wkFM .You could have  a go at home!

We had varying successes, but learnt about how important it is to work together as a team. We all needed to use our learning behaviours – being resourceful, resilient and reflective.

Next week, Owls will be designing their own device powered by a pneumatic system, for which they may need a variety of junk modelling materials. Please start saving anything that might be useful.
