This week in History we have been researching the end of the stone age and why this occurred.
We found out that the Beaker folk brought over bronze from Europe which was a more efficient material to use for tools and weapons making them sharper and more durable. The introduction of bronze was a significant event and changed life in Britain forever. We looked at what Britain was like at the end of this era. Humans had started to settle in permanent homes and change their ways of life. They began to have jobs like farming, building and crafting. Children looked at the difference between a stone axe and a bronze axe.
