We won! This week we found out that we won a prize at the Pirton Pumpkin Show for our Autumn Woodland. We are so proud of ourselves, we celebrated by sharing our certificate in assembly. We also got a prize of a pencil and a sweet treat.
Mrs Cruise is also proud of us this week as we are all on books with words now! We are doing a brilliant job learning our sounds and learning to blend them.
In maths we have focussed on the numbers 1, 2 and 3. We are learning that bigger numbers are made of smaller numbers, such as three being made of two and one or one and two.
We watched Willo The Wisp for Drawing Club and loved it, we found it very funny and had a great time imagining putting spells on things. We made a link to our maths learning and had three spells to use.
Our Big Idea led us to learning more about Autumn celebrations this week, including our own village celebration, the Pirton Pumpkin Show, Halloween and Diwali. Thinking about these things offered us the opportunity to reflect on our own lives and experiences and to develop our understanding of the wider world. We worked hard in Forest School to clear the Autumn litter from the pathway then decorated it with rangoli patterns, we hope you liked them!
