In Science this week we thought about the question ‘Why do we have lots of smaller bones in our body rather than single, long bones?’ and shared our thoughts. We found out that smaller bones help a skeleton bend and be flexible, and the place where bones meet and connect is known as a joint.
We completed an investigation looking at joints and carried out the tests in pairs where we recorded our observations. We related our observations and learning to real-life examples of the need for joints for humans and other animals.
