This week in English we have been looking at poetry and focusing on how our word choices as writers can impact the thoughts and feelings of the people who read our writing. Today we looked at a poem called ‘Caged Bird’ by Maya Angelou and discussed its meaning. We then cut up the words from the first two verses to create our own poems. We had great fun doing this and our poems were amazing!
