This week in Wrens we have enjoyed exploring our new inflatable musical instruments outside and putting on shows for our friends. In Phonics we have been learning the phonemes (sounds) for the graphemes (letters) z, qu, ch and sh and have been learning the tricky words by and my. This week we also moved onto a new unit of learning in Maths and have been focussing on Mass and Capacity. I have been hearing some lovely mathematical vocabulary when the children have been telling me how they know an item is heavier than another. Keep it up Wrens! During our Masterpiece Monday session this week, we used crayons to create a drawing of a tiger as our learning in Drawing Club this week has been based around the zookeeper episode of Mr Benn.
The children are really enjoying our Forest Friday sessions and have been sharing ideas with me about what changes and updates they would like to make to our forest area. Watch this space!
