The children have had packed week of learning in Robins. They particularly enjoyed working in small groups outside in Geography to practise their use of directional language, such as left, right, forward and backwards in a ‘Follow the Leader’ style game.
We began a new unit in English and have been reading Stanley’s Stick; the children each have their own sticks and on Thursday we imagined that their sticks were fishing rods and shared lots of lovely ideas about what they might have caught with them. Some of their ideas included Hammerhead Sharks, Megalodons, old trains and of course fish!
