Over the past week we have been continuing to develop our sentence writing skills. We have introduced the part-part whole model in maths and have been learning through the use of manipulative such as counters and cubes as well as through practical games.
In history, we have been looking at timelines and family trees. We are now moving on to look at the 1950’s so this week as a class we have used images of significant events to create a large timeline in order to learn how long ago the 1950’s was.
Our art project is all about mixing colours and using primary colours to make secondary colours. We have done this with paint over the past couple of weeks so this week we experimented mixing various amounts of playdough to gain an understanding of how using different amounts of each of the primary colour affected the shade of the secondary colours.
