Owls (Year 6)

Welcome to Owls. Owls are taught by Mrs. Allison Shaw with TA support from Mrs Paula Manson. 

Mrs. Shaw works part time. On Tuesday afternoons and Fridays which are Mrs. Shaw’s non-teaching time, Mrs. Marinho teaches the class.  Mrs. Marinho also teaches them on Thursday afternoon whilst Mrs Shaw has her PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment release time.) Owls has our 20 Year Six children in it. 

This is Year 6’s SATs year but while we are all going to work hard together to help them to achieve the best results they possibly can, we are going to have lots of fun along the way! 

Please support your child at home with reading, spellings, times tables and home learning so that they can make the best possible progress in all areas of the curriculum. 

In the autumn term, we had a Crucial Crew workshop, mindfulness workshops and two Phase workshops as well as a visit to the pantomime. In the spring, we plan to go to the Scott Polar Institute and the Botanical Gardens in Cambridge and have music lessons, an author visit, Safer Internet Day and more Phase workshops to look forward to!

We are looking forward to an exciting term ahead.
